I like it, but does it seem Shaman and Marrina are a tad too light?
Very nice pic... really well done.

I like it!
Too bad MARVEL hasn't found a way to put all the pieces together (writing/plotting, pencilling/inking, lettering, coloring, and editing) into a well-executed, well-thoughtout, untampered-with run.
Once upon a time, they exploded from the pages of The X-Men. For a moment, they were "Canada's answer to The Avengers."
They were ALPHA FLIGHT....
...once upon a time.
And I've just written a paragraph about pitches...
This is good - though I disagree with the commentor who thought it looked like Art Adams... even the one who thought it was Byrne-like.
Shaman looks like Dick Tracy!
It's good for a one-page spread, but I don't think I'd want this guy doing a whole series, TBH. Just a little too cartoony for my taste. And given how similar Shaman's and Puck's profiles are, I don't think he has the variety of faces to do a comic.
(We could end up with a situation like Young Avengers, where the characters start making a big deal about how two characters look alike - when you can't tell any of them apart, except for hair colour and clothing. )

This is awesome! Nice find, MM.

Going back, there is Monsanto (who did a Byrne-inspired take on Wolverine), Patrick Fillion (who did the reimagined SNOWBIRD cover to vol. 1 # 6), and now the artist [Scott Koblish] would did an excellent job of the whole group. Even if he only did covers, like Kevin Nolan did back in the day (or like Jimenez did for the first 4 issues of the midi-series), that would be a good choice.
I read that editor Steve Wacker is keeping hope alive for Alpha Flight and the EIC is waiting for the right pitch and the right time. Well, I haven't heard anything concerning what I sent MARVEL a few months ago, so I guess they're looking for something else.
I still think 7-times a year, little interference, and a creative team that is good at telling stories with a beginning-middle-and-end (old-school style, but with new-school paper and production values) will have the best chance of succeeding.

Looks like Scott Koblish works as an artist for Marvel Magazine, Disney's Marvel Super-Heroes Magazine, has drawn covers for many Marvel comics http://marvel.wikia.com/Category:Sco...h/Cover_Artist , done interior pencils for many Marvel comics http://marvel.wikia.com/Category:Scott_Koblish/Penciler , and has even created some characters for Marvel http://marvel.wikia.com/Category:Scott_Koblish/Creator . Coolio. Snag me an extra copy!
If I'd caught it on the newsstand I would've done mate, but it was from months ago and thus an eBay job I'm afraid.I will keep an eye out for a second seller though.
That's a lovely team illustration.
