Look through the posters other pics. They have a sweet Dreamqueen costume too.

Speaking of costumes, has the Evaporators' video for "Gassy Jack" ever been brought up around here?

I have no idea how one goes about acquiring a Guardian suit, but Nardwuar did.

Sounds like a garage band to me. Looks like that Guardian suit is the only thing this video or song has going for it.

I would pay top dollar for either that Sassy suit or a how to.

To answer your question, that clip has been posted here before -- but cool to see it again.

Yeah, that was a pretty well-done Dream Queen. How did they get the twins' costumes to light up? Byrne just described them as glow-in-the-dark, but that's above and beyond!

Do they light up, or are they just reflecting the camera flash?

    I assume reflecting.

    *Sigh*.

I know enough about special effects that I now feel really dumb for thinking they were lit up.

*waves* a little late to the party, but I wanted to chime in quickly. I was Dream Queen for the Alpha Flight shoot last year at DragonCon, and thank you for liking our costumes!

    To answer questions:

Northstar and Aurora had reflective material on their costumes that made them get all glowy under camera flashes (Actually,if you were too close to them, it would totally wash out your pix!)

And the Sasquatch was definitely not stuffed! While he didn't move as much as he wanted to in it, our fearless leader Allen was inside on stilts! It took him about 8 months to create the costume, and if you read Wizard Magazine, you'll see it won the Grand Prize in their 2010 Halloween contest. He could only stay inside for about 20-30 minutes at a time, due to heat and weight, but it was still impressive in person!
