Issue #1: Nathan (Thunder) moves into his own apartment in downtown Toronto, meets his neighbour, the 9 year old boy Brent Smithers; A group of thieves in hitech armour (the Renegades) break in to Gentech, and Thunder attempts to stop them, but they utilize telepotation tech. to escape with a number of special energy cells ... used to power various "insatiable" pieces of equipment the the company uses in its work according to Dr.Stone. Momentarily hijacking a "secret" American satillite, Gentech computer experts utilizes its sensors to pinpoint the unique energy signature of the cells. They are shown to be located on the groundlevel of a storage warehouse at the HQ of Stark Industries.

Issue #2: Thunder is sent into the USA and breaks into Stark Industries to steal back the energy cells, but is confronted by Iron Man. Heated words and accusations are exchanged, and a battle breaks out. As they fought, the Firepower battle armour (secretly spirited away by Stark Industries after IM's defeat of it) was stolen and used to knock both heroes out with a surprise attack. It then claimed the energy cells and fled.

Issue #3: Thunder and Iron Man awaken to find the energy cells gone. Anthony Stark advises the two heroes to team up, each keeping the others secrets. Gentech once again locates the energy cells, and both Thunder and Iron Man confront Firepower down. They manage a narrow victory, each reclaiming "their" property and helping to cover the others tracks.

Issue #4: While on patrol, Thunder witnesses an attempted hit on a couple of Italian Mafia and, saving them, learns of a gang war that has been raging in the city for about a month now, between a new hitech gang calling themselves "the Knights" and all segements of the criminal underworld, from Italian and Russian Mafia, to Hell Angels and ethnic youth gangs; Brent's violent father, Oscar, shows up at apartment in a foul mood and nearly breaks the door down, but is stopped and sent packing by Nathan. Meets Brent's mom, Susan, and goes to see a movie with them, but "date" is broken up by a trio of rampaging supers (Poweblast, Fist, Diehard) calling themselves the Powermongers. Brent witnesses Nathan change into his Thunder costum. Susan suffers a concussion and a broken armour in the conflict, and Powerblast escapes, but Thunder is successful in stopping the brutal rampage and aprehending both Fist and Diehard. Press is mostly good, but some is negative and fear driven.

Issue #5: While on patrol, Thunder saves a number of firemen who were trapped in a fire, and gets good press; days later, while on patrol, Thunder saves a couple of Hells Angels whom he spots being thrown out of an 8th story window. He confronts two "Knights", dressed in white tabards, wearing 2nd rate blue body armour beneath, and wielding hi-tech "stun clubs". Thunder puts both of them into the hospital, and gets bad press. A few days later he attends a meeting arranged by Dr. Stone, with Chielf of Police Shaymus O'Roarke and Mayor Antonio Gillespiby in regards to Thunder TO's official superhero. He is given a friendly warning about excessive force, but otherwise is warmly greeted by both officials, who hope Thunder will be able to stop these "Knights". Susan gets out of the hospital. Brent promises to never tell Nathan's secret, but kiddingly states he might like to go flying someday or something.

Issue #6: Thunder takes part in an official deputizing ceremony in front of City Hall. All went smooth save for a slight disturbance by right wing religious people protesting Gentechs research into genetic cloning and manipulation. Following the ceremony, Thunder is forced to thwart an attempt by the Knights to steal a precious piece of jewelry, the Tears o fVenus, from the city museum.

Issue #7: Thunder is introduced to Major Mapleleaf I, briefed by him on the Knights, and accompanies him to the shipyard to intercept a shipment of hi-tech weapons being shipped in to the Knights from NY State. They capture a good half of the shipment, but lose the other half. Upon his return home, Nathan is jumped by Oscar Smithers in a Knight uniform, along with two Knights with Kinetic Enhancement Knuckles. Though in his civilian id. Nathan nevertheless defeats them and has them taken in by the cops. The arresting officer is baffled on how Nathan could have beat all three of them, armed as they were, and especially given Nathan's own testimony that they took him by surprise.

Issue #8: Susan thanks Nathan for all his help/trouble with Oscar and asks if he wants to try the movie thing again with her and Brent. Doctor Stone gives him special video contact lenses and an ear receiver/transmitter to allow the Doctor to observe and advise the synthoid. Stone also informs Thunder that his apartment has recently fallen under observation by a fat, balding man with a camera. Nathan's date with Brent and Sue goes well. Susan suggests, in so many words, that she wouldn't mind if Nathan wanted to take a more "paternal" role in Brent's life. eg. take him to a ball game, to a movie, etc, but she continues to keep things on friendly terms

Issue #9: Thunder is notified of a bank robbery involving hostages and arrives on the scence to find Major Mapleleaf awaiting his arrival. MM tells Thunder that the Knights, or the "Cyberknights" as they are now calling themselves are invovled, and they are armed with hi-tech weaponary from other night; MM also reveals that his investigation reveals that this tech. was provided by some outfit calling itself Fabricators Inc. The duo learn that, not only are the Cyberknights packing heavy hi-tech weapons, but also that the armour of the average foot soldiers has been improved, while a couple now sport some heavy duty "Charger" battle armour. Nevertheless, Thunder and MM manage to beat the newly teched-out Cyberknights and save the hostages.

Issue #10: Thunder helps a corporate jet that had lost an engine make an emergency landing. The plane turns out to be Donald Trump's, who offers Thunder several thousand dollars cash reward and a job as his bodyguard. Thunder graciously turns down both. Later, Thunder receives a commincation from an unknown source claiming to have some insider info on Little Princess and her Cyberknights if Thunder would meet them alone. He arrives at the meeting place only to find 4 Cyberknights in Charger body armour laying in wait for him. Narrowly defeating the Chargers, Thunder has a brief chat with the Chief of Police and learned that earlier, MM had gone off to an old warehouse in the industrial area on a similar call. Quickly flying to this warehouse, Thunder found it trashed from a recent fight, but otherwise deserted.

Issue #11: Trounbled over MM's disappearance, Nathan goes on picnic with Brent and Susan, stops a purse snatcher, and during a private moment with the kid, agrees to show up at Brent's schoolyard today (Saturday) to prove to some bullies that the lad really does know Thunder. Nathan's beeper goes off near end of picnic and he tells a very disappointed Brent that he can't make it to the schoolyard afterall. The Chief of Police informs Thunder that the Cyberknights have told the press that they have MM and that if anyone ever wants to see the old timer alive again, then Thunder will show up, alone, at the "Skydome" tonight at 10pm. REalizing he has the time, Thunder makes it to Brent's schoolyard by 3 pm to find Susan lecturing the bullies with a humiliated Brent at her side. Most fo the bullies are impressed, but their leader is undaunted and dares Thunder to touch him. Thunder picks the kid up so they are eye-to-eye, only to hear the successive snaps of a camera behind him. turning, he spots another man with a camera takling pictures of the scene. Confronting him, Thunder takes the camera and destroys the film, before giving it back. The man claims to be a reporter and that he will pay for this ... that public will be very interested in knowing what went on here today.

Issue #12: With much on his conscience, Thunder arrives at Skydome, where he is soon confronted, midfield, by a disturbingly large and freakishly mutated (but nevertheless recognizable) Oscar Smithers. Calling himself Little Princesses Goon, he boasts that the odds are now even and he will accomplish what the Chargers couldn't. As the fight rages, Goon grows stronger, but also more mindless, and his limbs and muscles begin to shift and swell out of proportion (probably due to the lack of a proper genetic stabilizer in his creation, according to Dr. Stone). Thunder narrowly defeats Goon, who quickly turns into a mass of gelatinous ooze follwoing his defeat, but MM is nowhere to be found.

Issue #13: With the help of some investigators and Major Mapleleaf's case file, Thunder learns that the Major is being held at an old abandoned steel mill in Hamilton, Ontario. Defeating the 4 Cyberknights that guarded MM, Thunder found the old man in bad shape and in need of immediate medical attention. Before the emergency crews arrived however, Thunder leaned on one of the Cyberknight guards and learned that Little Princess lived in the penthouse atop Divinity Tower in Toronto. Arrving there, Thunder easily defeated the two Cyberknights that guarded Little Princess -- a beautiful blonde girl, with pigtails, very fashionable, and still in her teens -- but suddenly found himself overwhelmed with adoration for her. Renaming him "Blunder", LP had Thunder drive her over to the TO Museum, and then ordered him to break in and steal the Tears of Venus; which he had previously prevented her Cyberknights from stealing. Thunder willingly obeyed, stunning a security guard in the process.

Issue 14: For the next couple of days, Little Princess further humiliated "Blunder" by doing such things as making him sleep in the bathtub, having him work out in the nude beside the swimming pool as she lounged in the sun, and making him drive her about on a shopping spree and carry ALL of her packages; though on two occassions she did allow him the pleasure of kissing the bottom of her foot.

Meanwhile, the break in at the museum caused much concern, given the eye witness testimony of the security guard. This trouble was accentuated two days later when secuirty cameras at the Royal Bank caught Thunder tearing the safe door off of the wall and looting it. This prompted a (nother) flood of calls to Gentech and Dr. Stone ... from the Mayor, the Chief of Police, numerous reporters, and soon enough, representatives of Department H were knocking on Gentech's door.

Thankfully, during one of Thunder's more lucid moments, he switched on his audio/video commlink with Stone, thus givning the forces of goodness forewarning of the next heist. This came a day later at the First National Bank of Canada. When Thunder emerged from the bank with Little Princess, he, ahhh, "quickly" found himself confronted by Northstar. The speedster was soon joined by both Sasquatch and Guardian (James Mac). Faced with such adversity, and with his heart anywhere but in the battle, it did not take long for the Alphans to take Thunder down and restrain him.

As for Little Princess, she escaped with the loot during the commotion.

Issue 15 : Soonafter Alpha Flights defeat of Thunder, he was taken into custody and brought to Department H's HQ in Ottawa. Once there he was subjected to a thorough examination, including a "mind-tap" used to ascertain what, precisely, went on between him and the Little Princess. Satisfied with their findings, the Deparment took control of Thunder and his activities, assigning a "Mr.White" as a liason to oversee, authorize, and report on all of Thunder's activities as an employee of Gentech and the City of Toronto.

After Dr.Stone concocted a drug that would dull Thunder's psychic receptors, thus providing him with temporary immunity to to Little Princess psionic powers, he was sent to Divinty Towers to apprehend the villianette. Penetrating the penthouse, he was confronted by her last two Cyberknights wearing her last two suits of Charger battle armour. Soon enough a battle broke out, and as they fought, a half dozen teched out mercs busted into the Penthouse. The two Chargers immediately ceased to function after these soldiers aimed some funky "guns" at them, while Thunder was nailed in the head with some form of blaster and stunned out of his wits. By the time he'd recovered, the interlopers were gone and Little Princess was no where to be found.

After reporting what went on to Mr.White, and receiving a healthy does of contempt for failing -- Mr.White seems to think Thunder is a toaster or a plow or some other man-made tool -- Thunder returned to Gentech to meet up with Dr. Stone.
