I read that, but disagree with the UXM #17 part.
It made no sense for the character to be there, and it doesn't look a great deal like her.
I honestly think the purple was just a dark shaded character.

I thought it was interesting the article seemed like they had no idea she was about to reappear in Thunderbolts
