History
Before Puck joined Alpha Flight, he was a solider of fortune, thief and bodyguard, to name a few things. He was part of a group of four men that lived a life outside of society's rules, The Outcasts. The four of them bonded tighter than flesh and bone. Their strength was drawn from a well deep within The Self. They thought faster and reacted faster than most of humanity. The team consisted of various paranormals that exhibited some form of super strength and durability. For some unexplained reason, Puck left this group and later joined Alpha Flight.
Many years later in the city of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, a member of the Outcasts, Cleft, angrily listened to a television show about [[|Super Power Registration Act|Hagon's Bill]], the Super Power Registration Act that enforced registration of all paranormals residing in Canada. Not surprisingly, a bar-room brawl broke out. Alpha Flight was called in to investigate. Puck, knowing who it was, asked Guardian if he could go alone. She declined his request, sending Wildheart and Northstar to accompany him. They confronted Cleft, but upon attack, the rest of the Outcast members joined the fray. The teams battled, but Puck had reservations about fighting his former teammates. He decided to fight for Alpha Flight and took out Cleft and Depth Charge, while Wildheart took out Flagstone. The Outcasts were captured, chained and taken to an unstated place as Puck wondered if he had made the right decision.
