History

While attending university, Bruce Banner befriended Walter Langkowski. The two grew apart, especially with Langkowski returning to his native Canada and Banner doing research for the American military on gamma radiation. Banner was exposed to a lethal dose of gamma radiation when he was caught in the explosion of his own Gamma Bomb. Instead of killing him, it changed him, and he became the incredible Hulk.

Langkowski, while working with Department H discovered that his genetic structure had the same qualities to it that had allowed Banner to become the Hulk and survive the radiation. He performed a controlled experiment on himself, attempting to become a controlled Hulk-like being. However, he instead became the Alphan known as Sasquatch.

When the Hulk landed in Canada, Langkowski was ordered to investigate. Discovering the Hulk, he attempted to prove himself, and test his strength, against his old friend. The battle lasted for 30 minutes. Sasquatch realized he was no match and allowed the Hulk to escape to American soil as he left guilty for the fight and truely felt he was the real monster and never wanted the fight to get that out of control.

The Hulk later returned to Canada, but when faced with the Wendigo as Bruce Banner, he didn't immediately become the Hulk. Sasquatch, who had been tracking the Wendigo, was amazed to see his old friend. He was even more amazed when Banner became the Hulk but with Banner's intelligence and consciousness. The two were able to easily defeat the Wendigo.

Alpha Flight was proud to represent Canada at a ceremony honouring the Hulk later as the world rejoiced at a controlled Hulk.

Later, the Hulk's adventures lead him to be trapped in a dimensional cross-roads. Langkowski, who was then trapped in the form of the Box, had intended to use the Hulk body for his own before realizing it was his old friend. Instead of taking over the form, Langkowski simply allowed the body to be pulled from the dimensional cross-roads into Alpha's base and let his soul wander. This, however, was a mindless Hulk who attacked the Alphans, destroying their lab and attacking Vancouver. Alpha was able to lessen his rampage, but not stop it, until he finally sought out his native American Midwest, leaving Canada and Alpha's jurisdiction.

The Hulk teamed up with Alphan Northstar and the New Warrior Nova at the request of Dr. Strange to battle an alien in a speed-suit who was wreaking havoc on Washington, DC.

The Hulk is currently trapped on an other planet.
