After marrying her on/off partner Madison Jeffries, the two stayed away from the super-hero scene.
As he heard word of Alpha Flight being reformed, a bored Madison went to Department H, angering Lil.
After not hearing from him for some time she went after him, and was taken captive by Department K.
Lil was eventually found by the Weapon X Program and sent to the Neverland concentration camp for Mutants, to be killed.
Avoiding death at the hands of Director, and keeping her powers after the events of M-Day, Lil sort refuge at the Xavier Institute as the mutant population became an endangered species, as part of The 198.
When the Institute was destroyed and the X-Men relocated to San Francisco, Lil declined and went her own way, but eventually after discovering Madison had joined with them, she made her way to the Island of Utopia to reconcile with him.
Shortly after this the Island was attacked by the undead forces of Selene, and Lil was murdered by Dazzler's sister, Mortis.
Madison created a glass coffin for her and buried her at sea.
Whether Lil has been brought back to life and inhabits Krakoa remains to be seen.
Wild Child
Kyle Gibney

Upcoming: Hellions (2020) #2
After Department H was disbanded, the man known as Wildheart entered into a romantic relationship with his colleague, Aurora, until he began to devolve into a more bestial state, running away from her.
For a time Gibney joined the US Government sanctioned X-Factor team, to help his old friend Val Cooper.
Whilst here he battled against his bestial instincts in an effort to not slip into his old ways, and become like the villain known as Sabretooth, somewhat making peace with Jeanne-Marie, and entering into somewhat of a relationship with his Hologram teammate Shard.
His happiness was to be shortlived as he continued to devolve into a beast, causing him to leave the team for everyone else's safety.
It was here that he was found by the Weapon X program, who managed to stabilize his spiral, at the cost of the humanity he had gained. Having changed between forms and personalities so many times his broken psyche became easy to manipulate, and control.
Initially teamed with Sabretooth, Gibney had his vocal cords ripped out and remained mute for a while as his mutation struggled to cope.
Gibney remained with Weapon X until the events of M-Day where he had his mutant ability taken away from him.
He later appeared in the service of the evil Romulus, his intelligence and personality returned to the state of joining Omega Flight, and his powers artificially restored and enhanced.
Under Romulus' employ, he was pitted against his former mentor Wolverine on numerous occasions, until he was thrown into a vat of molten steel by Omega Red.
Wild Child barely survived this, and largely withdrew from the public eye.
With the mutant population now united on Krakoa, an extremely feral, devolved, Kyle has been taken into the service of Mister Sinister's Hellions, to atone for his crimes against mutants.
Madison Jeffries
First Appearance: Alpha Flight (1983) #1
Current Status: Alive
Last seen in Continuity and Print: Age of X-Man: GenNext #3
Upcoming: Unknown
After being captured by the supervillain team known as the Zodiac, Jeffries was brainwashed into the being known as Gemini, fighting against Alpha Flight.
He remained with the team until they were wiped out by Weapon X, who taking advantage of Jeffries' state further manipulated him into building the mutant concentration camp Neverland, and it's robot guards.
After Weapon X eventually disbanded Jeffries was left alone and confused, with the mechanical life-forms he had once created and controlled through his powers turning on him, and hunting him down.
He was eventually found by Beast, who managed to save him, and brought him into the X-Men as part of it's Science Team X-Club.
Jeffries was a changed man, his mental state deteriorated as a result of the constant brainwashing and trauma he had suffered, and after being reunited with his wife Diamond Lil, only to have her killed in front of him, Madison found himself becoming attracted to his robotic team-mate Danger.
The events of the superhero battle between the Avengers and X-Men led Jeffries to shy away from inner conflicts between the X-Men, finding himself returning to his home of Utopia along with other, forgotten mutants for a time.
Somewhat returned to society Madison returned to X-Club, helping out mutants behind the scenes and aiding his technological expertise to help Tony Stark, before seemingly being killed when called to battle Legion and Nate Grey's Horseman with the X-Men.
In reality Jeffries was temporarily transported to an alternate universe, where he taught at the Xavier School.
Jeffries has not been seen since his return, but is presumed to be living upon Krakoa.
